Light, relaxed and the only Great Ocean Road resort located on the beach.
A stunning drive along the Great Ocean Road via Bells Beach, Split Point Lighthouse and the Memorial Arch sets the mood for your meeting or conference.
Alternatively take the inland road through the incredible Otway National Park rainforest for a local’s short cut and save 20 minutes off your drive.
The resort is generous with its space and the conference team are always happy to make things happen.
Big Stick ticks:
- 277 accommodation rooms priced appropriately.
- Coastal vibe.
- Surrounded by National Park and abundant wildlife.
Yes the convention centre caters to 540 people theatre style, but our favourite is the Heritage Ballroom at 200-banquet style. This old dame comes with pressed metal roof and a stage that has many stories to tell.
Direct access to the beach allows guests to get away from it all, clear the head and get inspired.
We also love the wide open grassy spaces inside the resort grounds.
Another locals secret is the period from June to September – not only do whales come in 50m from shore but the quietness of the township mid-week makes it feel like that Lorne is there just for you.
Back of House Secret to Success:
“What I love about my role is being able to give clients what they want. Our property is so big and flexible with room types and layout, it’s great to see clients so happy with those last minute accommodation changes – Wendy Botha – Groups Reservations Supervisor”
Consistent service and quality in a lovely coastal setting.
