Venue Review: RACV Torquay Resort

Overlooking local beaches and Bass Strait is the exquisite RACV Torquay Resort.

Architecturally stunning, the resort building blends into the local environment as if part of the local sand dunes. High ceilings. Sweeping glass walls. The resort building is immediately relaxing and also inspiring at the same time.

The resort boasts everything you’d expect a 5-star resort to have.

However we find that the locals who work at the resort are a key to its success. Friendly, professional people with a real coastal vibe. Management are very flexible and allow many things to be done on-site that other similar venues wouldn’t.

As you know we get to work at many venues across the country – this would have to be one of the best in its category.

Big Stick ticks:

  • 75 minutes to Melbourne (& airport); 35 minutes to Avalon airport
  • 92 rooms (including 4 super cool suites)
  • close to beach, pub and cafes

Back of house secret to success:

“At RACV Torquay Resort the Kitchen believes in the fantastic local produce we serve, going hand in hand with a fantastic relationship between the Kitchen and front of house which elevates our service and delivery.” Michael Bannerman Executive Chef – RACV Torquay Resort

A local insiders tip:

Access the cliff top walking trails for a stunning walk to Bells Beach and back. Absolutely incredible scenery. Fresh air. And it’s free. p.s. stop in a Swell Café, Princes Terrace, Jan Juc for a locals hidden secret with amazing coffee and local produce.

The wrap:

A perfect location for any conference or retreat.
